About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong finance background to join our team for a strategic initiative focused on automating external financial disclosure reporting. This role is critical in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the technology team, ensuring the successful delivery of a robust, compliant, and scalable reporting automation product.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with finance, risk, and compliance stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements for external financial reporting.
Develop comprehensive Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) aligned with regulatory and disclosure standards.
Translate complex financial reporting needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for the development team.
Lead and coordinate Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) and Data Validation activities to ensure solution accuracy and completeness.
Support cutover planning, data migration validation, and go-live deployment activities.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in financial reporting, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
Provide post-deployment support and issue resolution during the stabilization phase.
Required Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA in Finance from a recognized institution.
Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the finance domain, with a strong focus on external financial reporting.
Proven track record of delivering at least two end-to-end projects involving financial disclosure automation or similar regulatory reporting solutions.
Deep understanding of financial statements, disclosures, and regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Hands-on experience with data analysis, reconciliation, and validation techniques.
Familiarity with financial systems, data warehouses, and reporting tools is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Knowledge of financial data modelling and automation tools.
Exposure to cloud-based reporting platforms or enterprise finance systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workiva).
