Role Summary
Support and operate Daimler Truck's Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment, ensuring stable, secure, and high-performing virtual desktop services for global users.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform day-to-day AVD administration including Host Pools, Session Hosts, Application Groups, and Workspaces.
• Manage AVD image lifecycle, monthly patching, OS updates, and software deployment.
• Support FSLogix profiles, Azure Files/Storage, and user provisioning activities.
• Monitor platform health, performance, capacity, and availability using Azure monitoring tools.
• Handle incidents, service requests, problem management, and change implementation within SLA targets.
• Troubleshoot AVD connectivity, authentication, profile, application, and performance issues.
• Support AVD automation, Azure DevOps pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and support knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with Microsoft, vendors, and platform teams for escalations and major incidents.
Required Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Good knowledge of Azure IaaS, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Microsoft Defender.
• Experience with FSLogix, Azure Files, RemoteApp, and Windows 11 multi-session.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
• Experience working in a 24x7 global operations environment.
Preferred
• Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification.
• Experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps, or CI/CD automation.
• Exposure to Citrix Cloud or Windows 365 environments.
