Database Reliability Engineering – L2 Support
Position Summary:
Candidate will work closely with L1 & L2 Reliability Engineers and client stakeholders to
ensure all mission and business critical databases and applications are performing
optimally.
Primary responsibilities include database activities including:
Software installation, configuration, working with developers and define database
objects, backup and recovery, replication, upgrades, data Modelling and tuning, Capacity
and Performance improvements.
Apply database knowledge to design effective and optimal database layout, analyze and
improve database performance. The candidate is expected to be a part of on-call rotation
schedule.
The ability to communicate technical / non-technical issues / solutions in a clear, concise
and easy to understand manner is imperative, as the candidate may participate in
technical and customer reviews and should be able to communicate effectively with both
