Support data governance by representing the data flow across the value chain, so that key stakeholders, including data producers and consumers, can easily be identified.
Proposing business rules based on the results of data analysis
Identifying the business concepts (entities), their formats, and the relationships between concepts and representing them in the Conceptual and Logical Model.
Working with stakeholders to come up with definitions, controlled vocabularies, and the relationship of the data to external standards.
Essential Skills:
Well versed with data modelling concepts-entities, relationships, normalization, master/reference entities etc. Knowledge of Pharma Domain (Clinical / Medical / Regulatory) is preferable.
Participate in the development and maintenance of logical data models and transform logical models into physical database designs for staging areas, data warehouses, and data marts
Create DDL for required database objects and migration scripts to load data into new structures whenever needed Develop mapping of source to target databases including documentation of transformation rules
Extensive experience with logical / physical relational data modelling using Erwin
