Responsibilities/ task Key Responsibilities with brief description according to priority To provide technical input to customers, suppliers and plant colleagues to meet Project and Department targets of product development and Product localization. Candidate should ensure validation requirements are met including type approval & functional intent. The candidate should be well versed of safety standards and homologation requirements. Responsible for development timeline tracking. Authorized To: Take a decision on failures for overcoming the problems in correlation with development engineer Key Performance Indicators · Monitoring development supplier along with engineering supplier for design and development · Single point contact for suppliers and other departments in India & other locations for air vents and décor parts. · Monitoring development timelines to achieve milestones. · In depth knowledge of design, development and raw material and location activities · Finding the VAVE ideas to save the cost · Planning and ensuring required infrastructure. · Maintaining the project timeline and cost target · Ensure quality and cost consciousness for the benefit of organization Safety and · Homologation awareness · Knowledge on Catia V5 · Hands on experience on DFMEA and FMEA · Report the design failures and critical problems to reporting manager with action plans · Documentation and implementation of lessons learned Role Requirement (Expectations) Level (mention desired level for each skill set) Educational Qualification BE / B-Tech (Mechanical, Automobile) No. of years of work experience 8 to 10 Years Critical Skill Sets (Technical) · Good technical product or system knowledge · Should have design development experience to the components like door, trims, handles, locking mechanism, console and armrest etc. · Ability to work in a team as well as an individual to maintain timelines under pressure to achieve the milestones · Ability to judge the future risk in terms of product failure and timeline · Interpreting and analyzing design failures along with potential causes.
