We are looking for a highly skilled DB2 LUW DBA with automation knowledge to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our DB2 database systems to ensure maximum uptime, performance, and data security. Additionally, they will be responsible for automating routine database tasks to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Include installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, patching, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning. The role also requires collaborating with other teams, automating tasks, and maintaining documentation
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in database administration and automation
Flexible with shifts
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of database backup and recovery, database security, and disaster recovery
• Experience with automation tools such as Shell Scripting or other scripting languages
• Good understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
