Job Description: Experience in MongoDB Administrator to manage operational and maintenance work includes Upgrades, Cert renewals, backup/recovery, fix performance issues and Good understand on database Architecture includes sharding concepts, ops manager and Percona.
Key responsibility :1. Perform Mongo version Upgrades.
2. Monitor database backup and to have recovery strategies and to know the usage of mongo utilities
3. Troubleshoot and resolve database related issues
4. Monitoring and ensuring cluster on High availability
5. Support maintenance task including Ldap switch, Percona upgrade, Resiliency Testing and SSL cert renewals
Essential Skills:
Understanding of Cloud Computing
Knowledge of ITIL framework/methodology would be an advantage
Must be familiar with OS upgrades/Patching
Primary skill in Linux System Administration (Red Hat) & secondary skill in at least one more flavor - HP-UX/Solaris.
Must have managed hosts in Oracle DB/Apps environment.
High level of skill with most operating system commands/utilities & familiarity with basic system administration and understanding of larger system management tools.
Understanding of a server-based operating system is a must; for example, kernel configurations, understands system designs and hardware configurations.
