Required Skills & Experience
Deep, Hands-On Atlassian Expertise:
3-5+ years of experience as a dedicated Atlassian Administrator or Engineer for a large-scale Jira and Confluence environment (Data Center experience is a must).
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across the entire stack: application, database (PostgreSQL preferred), and underlying Linux/VM infrastructure.
Expert-level knowledge of the Confluence and Jira architecture, including database schema, indexing, and logging.
Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving complex incidents, including JVM tuning, database performance issues, and add-on conflicts.
Strong Technical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, SolarWinds) and a passion for creating meaningful, low-noise alerts.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python or Bash preferred) for automation.
Solid understanding of database performance tuning, with the ability to analyze and optimize slow SQL queries.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, load balancers, and web servers as they relate to the Atlassian stack.
Operational Mindset:
A proactive, "find it before it breaks" mentality.
Experience writing clear, concise technical documentation (SOPs, runbooks, knowledge base articles).
A disciplined approach to change management and release processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certifications (e.g., ACP-100, ACP-200).
Experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks.
Experience with a migration from Atlassian Data Center to Cloud.
Experience with SaaS management and license optimization tools.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
