Key Responsibilities:
Claims Processing: Review, analyze, and process incoming health claims, ensuring they comply with relevant regulations and company guidelines.
Claim Adjudication: Apply benefits, policies, and procedures to determine the validity and value of claims. Approve or deny claims based on this assessment.
Customer Support: Provide assistance to healthcare providers, policyholders, and internal teams regarding claim status, policies, and payments.
Data Entry & Documentation: Accurately enter claim data into the claims management system, ensuring all records are updated in a timely manner.
Compliance & Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, ACA) and ensure claims are processed in alignment with company policies.
Appeals & Disputes: Review and process claim appeals and disputes from members or providers, ensuring a fair and timely resolution.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of processed claims. Generate periodic reports to track the efficiency and accuracy of claims processing.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, customer service, and finance, to resolve claims-related issues.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to workflows and claim processing systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
