1.2 PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
IT Technical Architect will be integrated within the Customer Portal Domain that is managing
commercial applications in charge of delivering digital services (online offer and order
management, commercial documents, claims follow-up, non-prime sales…) to our Flat Carbon
Europe customers based on different IT systems with multiple technologies (Java, Angular, REST
APIs …).
This position could be transversal, and the IT Technical Architect could also have the responsibility
of supporting NPM (New Pricing Manager), a new application that will be responsible for the price
calculation of products, with similar technological stack as the one above.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Application Architecture Design and
Implementation Propose, design, document, and implement the architecture of the applications (technical components). Contribute to the solution design and the architecture of the application. Support Software Engineers in making structural decisions for applications that might impact the architectural design.
Technical Support and Impact
Assessment Support and determine the impact on applications of company decisions (e.g., changing cloud providers). Keep applications and infrastructure up to date by deploying patches and upgrading application frameworks (e.g., upgrading Docker containers and Java versions).
Project-Specific Solution Design Act as the designated architect for several projects in the portfolio, actively contributing to the design of solutions. Collaborate with different stakeholders depending on the projects and business involved.
Collaboration and Cross-Team
Coordination Interact with infrastructure teams to monitor and deliver the architecture of applications.
Collaborate with various IT teams under the Digital & IT – CMO department, as well as external teams outside the organization.
Activity Organization and Delivery
Support Contribute to the organization of activities with the IT delivery team. Ensure alignment between architecture design and project delivery timelines.
