Description: SAP MDM Consultant Description The SAP MDM Consultant will be part of highly motivated and passionate team within DXC. You will be responsible for the team that performs all system maintenance, project development, migration projects at DXC. Resource will be responsible for the team that performs all development tasks within SAP MDM Projects at DXC all from idea, technical design, implementation, quality assurance, test, to cut-over support. He/she is responsible for leadership and ownership of Delivery and contractual requirements across managed environments. The role of an SAP MDM Consultant is different from that of a technical consultant .As a SAP MDM Consultant one should have a better view for both – the business side as well as technical side. 1. MDM Consultant should not only be technically strong but should have a wider view for the Business for which he/she is working for. 2. MDM Consultant should not only know the technologies of MDM but should try to wider there view for all the different platforms that are used with MDM such as Net weaver , XI, Tibco , ABAP etc. 3. Consultants having the knowledge of all these platforms would not only enhance their knowledge but would also provide them an upper hand among his/her colleagues in their company. Roles 4. Solution Architecting 5. Should have understanding of Business scenarios and converting it to MDM Business logic. 6. Should have a crystal clear understanding of the various scenarios that are being used in the project. 7. Should be a good Business Analyst 8. Should have skills to convert Business Requirements into Technical Specifications. . Responsibilities • Design solution using SAP MDM • Build MDM repository • Facilitate Data load and syndication • Develop MDM solutions for workflows, de-duplication, validations etc • Perform Unit tests • Complete MDM Project documentation • Aid integration tests • Advice and guidance understanding the impact of the Master Data maintained and provides guidance to others regarding Master Data. • Hands-on experience leading data definitions development, data quality improvements, data model updates, and solving efforts of the analytics projects • Collaborating with cross functional teams comprised of business groups, project teams and IT functional groups. • Experience collaborating data with owners and users/analysts across the business groups to modify or implement new repeatable and reliable businesses processes to improve and sustain effective data governance resulting in improved quality and consistency of data used to drive key business decisions. • Experience working closely with Data Architects to ensure changes are appropriately synchronized with the metadata strategy and logical data model. Primary Skills and Qualifications • Candidate should have min of 6 to 8 years of experience in implementing and managing projects. • Develop and deliver solutions that enable the collection, processing and management of master data from one or more sources., and the subsequent delivery of master data to audiences in support of key business processes • Analyze Source and Destination system; create specification with focus on data migration topics • Analyze, define and document processes for data loading and ensuring data quality • Execute data migration topics in global SAP rollouts • Implement required ABAP reports according to internal regulations especially for Master Data Interfaces (Non SAP System) • Support the definition and implementation of data quality criterias and controls • Design, support and execute mass data management • English on very good level for daily using (German is a benefit), work in the international environment • Good communication and follow up skills with user community across the globe. • Working IT experience with SAP = Understanding of SAP products (SAP MM, SD or PP and Master Data etc.) • Understanding of problem analysis principle in the area of SAP MDMs • Practical knowledge of using help desk ticketing software (ServiceNow, BMC, Jira, etc.) • Experience in complex SAP environments supporting multiple components preferred. • Experience with Data Quality frameworks and tools is a benefit • The candidate should be a Degree in BE/BTech/MSC/MBA/MCA with good academic records from premier institute
